Exterior Photography

Not everybody is visually sophisticated. This is the only explanation I can think of for the fact that many property sales particulars sport some of the worst pictures ever, without owners seeming to mind! Take a look at my sister-site, doctor-photo.co.uk to see what I’m talking about.

But I know from personal experience that when a property has a really good picture, it attracts more interest than it does when it has a bad one. Good composition and the correct exposure in a property photograph will have intrinsic appeal, without many people ever really understanding that the photo has played its part in persuading them that they should visit a house in the flesh.

Of course, there are other people whose visual sophistication is very acute and they WILL notice the difference between a bad photo and one that is good. The thing about these people is that they tend to own the best-looking houses, because appearance matters to them. So when they see well-taken photos, they’re inclined to want their homes presented in the same way, not unsurprisingly.

Taking really good exterior photos isn’t something that happens by chance. They have to be prepared for; thought has to be given to taking them at the right time of day and at a time that you might expect the weather will be good. Care is important especially when you stop to think that even the smallest properties in the Surrey area and around are likely to be selling for something over a quarter of a million pounds! That’s a lot of money in anybody’s language, so it really is a good idea to make sure that the photos on your details are up to the mark.
