Interior photography is a subtle art. The very best uses natural lighting with a small amount of fill-in flash to lighten areas that are in deep shadow. However, natural lighting isn’t in limitless supply in period cottages and houses, and some modern houses too have reduced window sizes to save on wasted heat, so that natural lighting needs help from strobe lighting. Flash has to be used with caution however, to avoid distracting shadows and any hint of harshness.
My job as the photographer is to make the best possible image, taking into account the conditions available. I also have to find the optimal angle to really capture the sense of the room and its best features.
Through many years experience, as a photographer and originally as an estate agent, I am confident I know how to present your properties to the highest standard. You’ll see in my gallery an eclectic mix of property from large country residences to small cottages and new-build apartments etc. Almost every commission requires a slightly different approach to the one before - because every property is different.
